Hurricane IDA

Whew and we thought we were out of the hurricane season! Most boaters have a insurance restriction for traveling south and avoiding the hurricane season. Ours will not allow us to go south of Lat 35N until after November 15, hence our departure on the 12th.

Tell that to Hurricane Ida which is coming ashore. The  storm seems to be going to hit Alabama and then turn east possibly hitting north of JAX, the GA coast and then working up the Carolina coast.

This is the height of the southward boating migration so we will need to track and watch it closely. Hopefully we are still too far north to have much impact but you never know. Here is an advisory http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/refresh/MIATCPAT1+shtml/091153.shtml  and a
